I’m on Welfare and I
Support Trump. Here’s why:
I’m a senior living on social security.
When my mother was my age and living on social security, she
had FDIC insured bank account certificates of deposit which paid 10% interest
on her bank savings. Today I get .02% interest on my savings. So I'm living in a HUD subsidized building
for seniors (yes, on welfare). If my
bank accounts were paying even 5% interest, I would not need to be on subsidy.
The one and only reason bank interest rates have gone down
from 10% to a fraction of 1% is the government debt is so high, that it can't
afford to pay anything even resembling normal interest rates - so the Federal
Reserve reduces interest to essentially zero.
So I'd like to know from the millennials (especially those
who think socialism is so great), do you really want to be supporting more and
more seniors like myself with your tax dollars, or do you want a president who
is committed to ending deficit spending, and reducing the debt? Which picture paints a better future for
you? More welfare and more taxes or less
welfare, less taxes, and higher interest rates on savings? It's completely naive to believe the
millionaires can pay off the entire debt if the gov't keeps creating more
debt. The gov't has to reduce the debt;
otherwise in the end, it will be you paying higher taxes and getting lower
interest rates.
